Penguin Songs

I had to add these Harry Kindergarten Youtube songs to spice up any winter animal theme! I used these penguin ones during my Arctic Animals theme last year and they ended up being class favorites! They have great facts and a catchy tune!

Bang game for Word Family

I was making new games for my Literacy Centers and wanted another Bang! game... My son loves to play this game all the time! I changed it up by making it word families (at, an and ig)! I am going to make some more later! I am excited for my kiddos to play this game!

1. Shuffle the enclosed word cards and place them face down in a pile
2. Have students take turns taking a card, one at a time. If the student can read the word on the card, then they may keep the card.
3. If the student picks-up a BANG! card then they have to put all of their sight words back into the pile.
4. The student with the most sight word cards at the end of the game is the winner!

New Year Ideas

Here are few ideas for the New Year! I am looking for new ideas so PLEASE share yours!! Thanks!

After I uploaded my ideas I was taking a shower and thought of a way to make the memory game even better!  It is funny were an idea strikes you!  Anyways I made the memory game pictures match the words to make it more accessible to all students.  I thought of my lower groups and how they would not play unless they could use picture cues to figure out the words. What fun!!

Here is for those who are having a hard time downloading... Hopefully this will work for you!

Word work for Word Families

I have removed this post due to an email I received yesterday.  I had no idea that another individual had an ebook with this word work.  It was never my intention to hurt anyone.  I am truly sorry but I had no idea about this individuals work!  So... Anyways I am revamping my word work... it will even be better!

Memory game

This memory game was made using Pre-Primer Dolch sight words.  I thought the cats and dogs from DjInkers were adorable and could be used anytime of the year!  These are great to use for a center!  Happy Holidays!

Christmas Time! (Christmas song for kids)

If you liked turkey time this song is the same idea but Christmas time!!
My class was super excited about it!!

O Christmas Tree...

Well I am sitting here watching my son play a game and was thinking about what I was doing this week at school.  I made a number sort to practice numbers 11-20 that I will have them cut out and order on a sentence strip.  The second page is a stamping page.  We either stamp the letters or make them rainbow with markers! Either way is fun!  I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Gingerbread man writing

This is not my idea but just made the form to use to write.  My students had monster trucks, the fox, baby tigers and many other creative ideas running after the gingerbread man! I will post a few pictures later.. Enjoy!

Here are a few pictures from my students!
This sweetie is always writing about cats.. ALWAYS!
But the detail is great!!

She was so proud of her work and I couldn't
even peak until it was all done! My arms are funny but
I love it!

He is an amazing artist already!! This one always
has the greatest detail to his pictures!

I ran away from the fox!

I made this memory game for my son Kaden.  He is in kindergarten and loves to play memory or bang!  We play every night at bedtime!  I went through a list of sight words with him and these were the ones he didn't know!  I hope you enjoy!

The Gingerbread Man (song by Jack Hartmann)

5 Little Reindeer (Jumping in the Snow)

Harry Kindergarten Song are a wonderful way for kids to sing.

S-A-N-T-A song

You can't catch Me!

Our theme next week  is gingerbread men.  It is one of my favorites!  I have found some really great stuff online! My class heard the song from Harry Kindergarten today and then on the playground I kept hearing someone saying, "You can't catch me I'm the gingerbread man!"  Hopefully they will love all the activities I have planned!

Harry Kindergarten - There are a couple of gingerbread stories!  But his work is great for many things!!
